Mathilde Opsvik

Hello! It's nice to meet you. My name is Mathilde Opsvik, and I am a Doctor of Chiropractic and Sports Massage Therapist who practices from a small private practice in Hackney, East London.

Since graduating from the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic in 2015 with a five-year Master of Chiropractic Degree, I have practised full-time in private clinics in Liverpool, Manchester, South London and my hometown, Oslo, Norway.

In addition to all the hours of clinical work, I have attended many courses to improve my skill set, including sports massage therapy, instrument-assisted soft tissue manipulation (IASTM), dry-cupping massage therapy, kinesiology taping technique, McKenzie Exercises for disc derangements, Musculoskeletal problems after Birth and pregnancy, and Manual Muscle Testing Technique.

My journey into musculoskeletal healthcare and Chiropractic started back home in Norway. Norwegian culture places a significant emphasis on being physically active. From a young age, we go skiing, ice skating, and hiking up mountains with our family. Looking back, I must have always known the importance of being able to move without pain.

After upper secondary school, I started a degree in Sports Education; however, during the first semester, I realised I was more interested in the physiology side of things than facilitating sports, which led me down the more science-based route of Chiropractic, and I have not looked back since.

What I enjoy the most about my work is helping individual clients with their specific situations. It truly gives me great joy to have the knowledge and treatment skills to do so.

I hope to help you on your journey to moving better without pain, too!
